Saunders Brothers constructed a detached garage using quality materials and traditional techniques, blending functionality with a sympathetic design that respects the surrounding listed setting.

The Build

This listed property garage build was entirely bespoke, carefully designed to meet the client’s specific needs while complementing the character of their home. The structure is predominantly timber, echoing traditional building methods and ensuring it sits harmoniously within the grounds of the listed property.

 

Although the footprint allowed for just a single garage, the clever use of space and structural design made room for a four-pillar car lift, allowing two vehicles to be stored within the one bay. To accommodate the lift, the internal roof space was left open and required intricate steelwork to support the structure safely and unobtrusively.

 

Every detail from the roof pitch to the timber finishes were considered with both function and form in mind, delivering a premium result that blends practicality with period-appropriate aesthetics.
